Movement

Movement is very important for proper development of your children's major motor skills. The Clubhouse offers plenty of space for the children to run around and have fun. There are movement options for children of various ages: a toddler slide, which promotes climbing muscles and balance; several bikes, to teach children other forms of movement; and an exersaucer for a younger baby, which gives them an opportunity to strengthen sitting muscles and exercise their legs. Everyday we use classical music and common sing-alongs to enourage everyone to dance and sing. Diana Bales, a qualified pediatrician, spoke about music's enhancement for brain development in her article "Building Baby's Brain." She stated, "Researchers believe that musical training actually creates new pathways in the brain."
